Wanida Lewis, PH.D. is a food scientist passionate about bridging the communication gap between scientists and the general public regarding food security issues. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Saint Augustine's University, a Masters Degree in Analytical Chemistry from North Carolina Central University and a Doctoral degree in Food Science from North Carolina State University. As a long time practitioner of yoga, Wanida completed her 200 hour yoga instructor certification. She is also certified to teach Restorative and Yin Yoga.
She currently resides in Washington, D.C. She works for the Department of State as an AAAS Science and Technology policy fellow.
